The latest for oral learners

Oral Seminar

As 80 percent of the world learns best through oral means (International Orality Network, 2024), our oral seminars aim to engage non-print learners more effectively by communicating God’s Word in a way that is relational, relatable, concrete, and memorable.
Our oral discipleship seminar includes chronological Bible storytelling, discussion, drama, object manipulation and visuals. We connect individual Bible stories (and their related key ideas) to God’s larger story through the Bible Visual Overview.

The Power of Bible Storytelling

“The method I have learned in how to teach the Bible through telling Bible stories has been inspiring.  I have found myself wanting to tell stories all the time.”  Pastor Noah, Cameroon

Meeting learners where they are at

What it Looks Like

By modeling creative methods of storying and by processing the stories with discovery questions, students are challenged to apply the main ideas. Daily retelling of the stories reinforces learning, strengthens connections with other stories, and builds a biblical worldview. Participants will leave having memorized and internalized 10 Bible stories, understanding key worldview ideas, and engaging in a habit of bible storytelling.

The Stories Included

God’s Story of Restoration Begins

18 Stories from the Books of Moses

The Rise and Fall of Israel

“The Oral BELT curriculum has transformed my approach to teaching the Bible. It has made the stories more engaging, improved retention, fostered a sense of community, and deepened my own understanding. I am grateful for this innovative method and its profound impact on my teaching and my student’s learning experience.” Jody, Vietnam

Testimonials

I have read the Bible many times but not much was new. But when I heard these stories, I learned a lot of new things.

This is the first time in my life to share stories and tell others about God. I was scared but now I know I can share.

Belt taught me to teach through telling stories. I preached for the first time in the market and church and I want to continue.

The BELT teachings have changed me, and as I did storytelling in our own home, I saw my wife and children also transformed.
